The
Penshar Shop Pencil Sharpener
"Cool Tool Winner"
Its
not very often that I walk into a tool store and utter the words "wow
cool" and don't end up being chased around the kitchen by the wife waving
the check regester and threatening death. So when I found myself uttering
those famous and somewhat dangerous words about something that costs a mere
$3.99 I purchased one with confidence in my safety. The Penshar shop pencil
sharpener definetly wins my "Cool Tool" award for march. Someone
finally invented a way to sharpen those flat carpenter pencils that neither
involves a razor knife, or my favorite, the ossalating spindal sander. I feel
almost silly making such a fuss over something that neither plugs in nor cost
several hundred dollars. But as any woodworker knows a good sharp pencil with
a consistant point is a requirement for tracing patterns or marking lines.
The Penshar cuts a nice long point and seem to repeatidly
produce
the same shape and length of point making the lines even and consistant. If
you
can not
find one of these gems at your local tool shop or home store, they have a
web site where you can order them. http://www.penshar.com,
stop by and tell them you saw them here at this old workshop.
