The Complete Deck Book
From Sunset Books
Summertime is deck time, at least that's when most of us spend a lot of time out there on the redwood planks. During just such a visit to my back yard deck, I decided to plan and build some expansions including the addition of an over head structure and surround for the future spa. As with a lot of projects like this I head to the book store, or like lately, log on and start looking for reference materials. I came across this book at my local home store and it contained the information I felt I would need to design and build my deck additions. As with many of the sunset books, this one is laid out very well, and illustrated with many examples. The procedures and theories presented seemed to contain sound building techniques as well as well explained steps.
I am very pleased with this addition to my workshop library. Over 270 pages of information and illustrations. Priced reasonably it will make a good resource for anyone needing information about deck building and maintenance.
