Builder Boards
by Jack McKee

Anything that can get the children off the couch and get the game controller out of their hands. Not to mention set their imaginations into gear, I am all for that. "Builder Boards" is a book, a concept and a project that will have children of all ages working together to create play structures of their own design and construction.

Jack McKee, a School teacher from the Pacific North West, with a background in construction and carpentry, has designed notched boards that link together and form play structures. His designs are so basic and yet unique, you will look at them and say "why didn't I think of that".

His book details the projects and construction in perfect detail. From design layouts to building jigs for repeated cuts. Jack has given us the tools to create a simple project with our kids, or a large community undertaking. When my Child is old enough to be up and around in the back yard (She is not born yet, due very soon though) I will build a set of these and she & I will build everything from Camelot Castle to a space station orbiting Mars.

If you have kids, know kids, neighbor kids, get this book, build these boards, and stike fire in their imaginations
